Tinted float glass (heat absorbing glass) is produced by the float process with the addition of small quantities of metal oxides to color the normal clear glass mix. This coloration is achieved through adding metal oxides at the smelting stage. Standard Colours available are shades of : Green, Blue, Brown, Grey in Thickness of 5mm, 6mm, 8mm, 12mm.

Tempered glass is manufactured by heating glass to approximately 1200º Fahrenheit followed by rapid cooling of the outer surfaces. This rapid cooling causes a tension between the outer and inner surfaces. This tension increases the strength of the glass approximately six folds. When the glass is broken, this tension causes it to shatter into small blunt granules rather than large sharp shards.

Insulated/Double Glazed Glass

Inherently insulated glass increases a window's thermal performance. It is constructed from two or more glass plies, separated by a desiccant-filled spacer and sealed with an organic sealant. The desiccant absorbs the moisture within the insulating unit and vacuum is created between the two glass plies to insulate from heat. The thickness of each unit can be varied with 6mm, 9mm or 12mm spacer.
